The payment schedule for all travel reservations is as follows, unless otherwise specified in writing by Ecstasea Sport Fishing Guatemala:
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the dates and reserve the trip. Trip balances must be paid to Ecstasea Sport Fishing Guatemala 15 days before the trip start dates (unless otherwise specified in writing). If deposits are not received according to the payment schedule and the client does not respond to Ecstasea Sport Fishing Guatemala's payment notification within 10 calendar days following Ecstasea Sport Fishing Guatemala's notification, all deposits and payments will be forfeited.
RESERVATIONS ARE NOT CONFIRMED until your deposit is received. If no deposit is received and/or posted 10 days after being invoiced, your reservation is subject to cancellation. Subject to changes for last-minute bookings.
Due to our limited size, cancellations greatly affect us. If you cancel your trip in writing after your reservations have been confirmed, we will attempt to resell your dates. If we can do so, payments made will be refunded to you less $200 per person as a cancellation fee if done within 40 days prior to the arrival date. If we are unable to resell your dates, you will forfeit your deposit. If you cancel your trip for any reason 40 days or less before the arrival date, all payments made on your trip are non-refundable. No-shows will not receive refunds. While at the lodge, if you decide not to fish one day, no refund will be granted but, you could be granted an outing to a nearby tourist spot (personal expenses not included).
Your safety is our top concern. If the captain decides the boat should not go out, you will receive credit for a day of fishing on your next booking with Ecstasea Sport Fishing Guatemala or an outing to a nearby tourist spot (personal expenses not included).
We highly recommend protecting the cost of your trip and other non-refundable travel expenses with a travel insurance agency. Safety is our top priority, but unforeseen emergencies can occur, which is why we recommend purchasing a travel protection insurance policy as soon as possible before your trip to protect you and your travel investment.
Occasionally, in case of any emergency, illness, or if the captain is unavailable, a substitute captain will take you (the client) fishing for the day. We reserve the right to make substitutions and crew changes as necessary.
We provide the necessary equipment for sport fishing, but clients are responsible for caring for and replacing any lost or damaged equipment due to misuse. Passenger safety is our priority, and clients must follow the captain and crew's instructions at all times.
We are committed to practicing sustainable fishing and complying with all local conservation regulations. Clients must respect catch limits and release protected species according to local regulations.
We are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the trip. Clients must have their own health and travel insurance.
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen conditions, always ensuring a quality experience.
By booking with us, clients agree to these terms and conditions. Any changes to policies will be communicated in a timely manner.
